Have you ever thought about what to do with all of your kids' old school photos and artwork that they make you? As a mama of four, I throw a lot away because I get overwhelmed by clutter but there are special pieces from the kids (especially the ones with their photos on them) that I do want to keep. Let me show you how you can organize all your kids' memories with these keepsake boxes!

Before doing this project, all their pictures and old school stuff was just scattered everywhere in the basement, in bins, in old filing folders that never got organized when we moved and then my current filing system upstairs. HOT MESS!

Let me just say that this project is way overdue.

I planned on doing when my oldest, Aaliyah, was five years old in preschool. Now, she is 14 and about to head to high school next year… so WAY overdue. The reason why I never got around to this project is because I could never find bins that I liked or they were just way too expensive. I remember them being too expensive at Staples. And then when I looked on Amazon, they were just ridiculously priced because they weren't a Prime item. I found bins at Walmart perfect for this project and they are moisture, dirt, and pest resistant. They have a seal around the lid and it clips tightly on the outside to prevent anything from getting in. Also the price is cheapest I have found.

To label each found, I used this old school label maker. If you’re a 90’s kid, you remember this label maker but I thought it was perfect for this project. The digital label makers would probably be faster if you have a few bins to do. I labeled each folder for the grade starting with Pre-K. I did also add a baby folder to add ultrasounds and any baby photos and I added a toddler folder for more photos and projects from daycare. In total I used about 17 folders for each child. The packets of folders from walmart come with 25 so they’re extras if you need them.

For the names on the bins, I broke out my new Cricut machine. This was my first time ever using it and it was easier than I thought!

The best part of doing this project is going through all their old projects and seeing how much they’ve grown! I loved sharing with the kids the things they’ve made in the past and we got a few laughs it.

Now, all the kids' photos, art, yearbooks and report cards, everything that I saved throughout the years is all organized and my youngests is ready to go for when he goes to school.
